Adolescents across Kenya have big dreams, but many feel unsure they’ll ever reach them. Using Human-Centred Design, young people themselves are shaping the messages, content, and life-skills package, ensuring it reflects their realities and ambitions. Vijana Tuchangamke meaning “Young people, let’s rise up!”, becomes both a rallying cry and a mindset shift. The campaign inspires adolescents to see themselves not as passive dreamers but as a generation ready to solve the challenges facing their communities. It strengthens their confidence, builds resilience, and equips them with practical health and life-skills knowledge on family planning, reproductive health, WASH, nutrition, and more. By centring adolescents’ voices, the campaign transforms hesitation into determination, positioning Kisumu’s youth as leaders of today and catalysts of tomorrow. The project is funded by UNICEF and implemented by CBCC in partnership with the county government of Kisumu.
