Turudi Shule na Tumaini campaign — “Let’s Return to School with Hope”

After months of uncertainty brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, many children had lost hope of returning to school. Families were anxious, and children’s futures seemed at risk. It was in this context that the Turudi Shule na Tumaini campaign, “Let’s Return to School with Hope”, was born. The idea simple yet powerful, rekindles hope and restores trust in education as a pathway to a brighter future. The campaign’s branding, anchored in the word Tumaini (hope), speaks directly to parents, teachers, and children, encouraging them to overcome fears and challenges caused by the pandemic. At its heart, the campaign carries the message that school is not just a place of learning but is also a safe haven where children grow socially, emotionally, and intellectually. The campaign beyond numbers, shifts attitudes, turning fear into confidence, and despair into action. The warmth and inclusivity of the campaign ensures that families see education not as a burden, but as a shared community responsibility. This campaign is made possible through the support of UNICEF Kenya and implemented by CBCC and partners.
